EmpowerHER Collective Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing leadership equity by providing development, mentoring, wellness resources, and community support for women across industries and stages of leadership. With specific programming and initiatives designed to support Black women, we also create safe and inclusive spaces—both virtual and in-person—where women from other diverse backgrounds can develop their skills, build networks, and step into leadership roles with confidence.
Dr. Holly Davis founded EmpowerHER Collective Inc. as an extension of her doctoral research on strategies to improve retention and support for leaders who are often underrepresented in traditional systems. This work translates research into action, offering programs and resources that make leadership growth accessible and sustainable for a diverse range of women and emerging leaders.
We believe leadership flourishes in community and that everyone deserves access to the knowledge, relationships, and self-care practices that make sustainable leadership possible.
Our Story
2023: A Research- Driven Vision
While completing her Doctor of Education at Northeastern University, Dr. Holly Davis focused her dissertation on how to better retain and support underrepresented leaders. Her findings revealed the urgent need for peer-led, equity-focused spaces where women could develop leadership skills, sustain wellness, and build meaningful networks.
2024: Turning Insight into Action
Inspired by her research as a doctoral student, she began hosting virtual leadership circles and pilot programs under the name EmpowerHER Collective Jax. These early sessions tested the Peer Leadership Circle model, bringing together small groups of women to share experiences, build skills, and practice self-care in leadership roles.
2025: Launching EmpowerHer Collective Inc.
With strong community interest and promising results from the pilot. Once Holly officially became Dr. Davis in March 2025 from Northeastern University, Dr. Davis officially incorporated EmpowerHER Collective Inc. as a nonprofit. The organization now offers leadership development workshops, mentoring opportunities, wellness initiatives, and community outreach to broaden access to leadership and create inclusive networks.
