Mr. Lerner Edison has over 15 years of healthcare experience as a United States Navy Hospital Corpsman and Critical Care Registered Nurse. These collective experiences have provided him with opportunities to serve his country, his community, and the world at large. This has led to various roles as a clinician, educator, and organizational leader to advance the causes of the most marginalized communities, particularly in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives.

He graduated from the University of Virginia Direct-Entry Clinical Nurse Leader Graduate Program as a second-career nurse after his honorable discharge in 2019, and he is currently attending the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, for a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nurse Anesthesia.

Despite various accomplishments and current projects, he remains deeply dedicated to “service” as a change agent advancing the cause of humanity, especially in a female-dominated profession, with a keen focus on Black women in Leadership.
